We’re Stephen and Else, your local team here at Beare Flooring Surfers Paradise. Together, we’re passionate about helping you create a home you love, with flooring that not only looks stunning but stands the test of time. We believe choosing new flooring should feel exciting and inspiring — not overwhelming — which is why we focus on making the process simple, stress-free and personal to you.
Stephen’s journey in flooring started at just 15, working in his family’s business and learning the trade from the ground up. Over the years, he became a skilled hard flooring installer and is proud to hold the title of Quick-Step Master Installer. Running his own installation company on the Gold Coast gave him a deep appreciation for workmanship and quality, values that still shape every project today.
Else has always been behind the scenes supporting the business, and in recent years has stepped into a more active role. With a keen eye for design and a passion for creating welcoming spaces, she brings a thoughtful, creative touch to the in-home consultation process — helping customers see how different options will transform their space.
Away from work, we’re proud parents of three energetic boys and love spending time outdoors with them and our golden retriever.
