About The Product
Chateau Oak Engineered Timber
Chateau Oak is engineered timber done properly: a 3.2mm European Oak veneer over a tri-layer, 100% cross-laminated oak core. That whole-tree approach to construction means the board under the surface is oak too, giving exceptional stability with genuine timber character all the way through.
Real Oak, Top to Core
The thick veneer carries true grain, knots and variation, finished in a soft matte that reads as naturally aged rather than lacquered. Because the wear layer is a full 3.2mm, the floor can be refreshed down the track, which is the quiet economics of good engineered timber.
A Palette of Nine Oaks
From the pale Alpine Oak and Summer Blonde through Willow, Sienna and Autumn Amber to the richer Chestnut, Elm, Scarlett and Bur Oak, the range covers Scandinavian light to French-country warm without a weak option in it.
Stability By Construction
Cross-laminated layers pull against each other, so the boards resist the cupping and movement that trouble solid timber in Australian conditions. It is the sensible way to own a real oak floor.
